Common Ground Downtown presents Bryan McDowell, with Mark Schatz, Sam Guthridge, Maddie Witler and Gaven Largent, for a night of unforgettable bluegrass. Fiddler, vocalist and master of stringed instruments, Bryan McDowell performed for 4 years with Claire Lynch and has since performed with bluegrass notables Sierra Hull, Alison Brown, Ron Block, & Molly Tuttle and many others from the realm of roots and acoustic music. His talents are featured on several recordings garnering IBMA awards, and one project receiving a Grammy nomination. He currently tours with Mark Schatz and others. Other accolades include Bryan’s triple win – a sweep of the fiddle, mandolin, and guitar categories – at the National Flatpicking Championship in ’09, and his 21 other instrument contest titles from ’09 & ’10.
Bryan is joined by 2-time IBMA Bass Player of the Year Mark Schatz, IBMA Momentum Award winner Gaven Largent (reso-guitar), mandolinist Maddie Witler (formerly of Della Mae), and banjo player Sam Guthridge (founding member of Chester River Runoff).
