When you see this band dressed in their custom-made embroidered and rhinestone-studded clothing, you know that they mean to entertain! No wonder The Kody Norris Show took home seven SPBGMA awards this year, including Entertainer of the Year. The band tips a hat to Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, the Grand Ole Oprey, and a bit of vaudeville. You will get top notch picking and singing along with humor and flash. Kody Norris is joined by his wife and fiddler, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris, Josiah Tyree on banjo, and Charlie Lowman on the bass. This show is family-friendly, fun, and good music!

Leon played with Jack Tottle, working the clubs in DC and Virginia. In 1968, he teamed up with Buzz Busby, recording “Honky Tonk Bluegrass” for Rounder records. They toured around the DC area until 1971. Since then, Leon has continued to play music with his own band, recording several albums.
Big Howdy is a DC-based progressive bluegrass band featuring the duet singing of Dede Wyland and Randy Barrett. The group offers a mix of original songs plus reinterpretations of classic country, bluegrass and roots material. Together with Ira Gitlin on bass and Tom McLaughlin on mandolin, Big Howdy sounds unlike any other band.
