Founded 45 years ago by Ron Thomason, Dry Branch Fire Squad has become a beloved staple in the traditional bluegrass world. The band is dedicated to old-timey, bluegrass, and gospel traditions. Ron is as much known for his humorous social commentary as for his musicianship. The wit, song choices, and traditional sound of Dry Branch Fire Squad make it one of the most entertaining bands on the bluegrass circuit. The Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation is honored that Ron, who currently resides in Colorado, and his fine band continue to travel to perform in the Lucketts Bluegrass Concert Series.
