Founded 46 years ago by Ron Thomason, Dry Branch Fire Squad has become a beloved staple in the bluegrass world. The band is dedicated to old-timey, bluegrass, and gospel traditions. Ron, a modern day Will Rogers, is as much known for his humorous social commentary as for his musicianship. The wit,song choices, and traditional sound of Dry Branch Fire Squad make it one of the most entertaining bands on the bluegrass circuit. The Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation is honored that Ron, who currently resides in Colorado, continues to bring his band to perform in the Lucketts Bluegrass Concert Series. Doors open 6 PM.
