This is a free event but donations are welcome!

Family bands are a bluegrass tradition, with especially sweet harmonies and a warm stage presence. The Williamson Branch offers polished performances from a family with three daughters, aged 13 to 21. They have been recognized by the IBMA and have appeared on hundreds of stages. Gate opens 6 pm. HIGH HORSE is a Boston-based progressive-acoustic stringband breathing the energy of alternative rock into an indelible blend of Bluegrass, Old-time, and Folk magic with crisp vocals and virtuosic chops. Special Consensus is a contemporary bluegrass band led by SPBGMA Hall of Greats member, Greg Cahill (banjo). The band includes IBMA Male Vocalist of 2025, Greg Blake; Nico Humby on bass; and Brian McCarty on the mandolin. Karma Creak, a lively bluegrass band of all Loudoun County Public School teachers, will provide an opening act! They have played at the Bluegrass in the Gap Festival, the Round Hill Hometown Festival, and the Hillsboro Music in the Gap series. Gate opens 6:00 pm. Show 7:00. Tickets $22 adults, $5 youth 5-17. Bass-led Band House Concert Series. At this intimate home in Vienna, Virginia, John Cowan & Luke Bulla, along with Sam Leslie, will start the evening with a Q&A hour at 5:30 pm. Concert starts at 7 pm. Tickets at www.dcbu.org.

For 50 years, Critton Hollow (Joe Herrmann – fiddle & banjo, Sam Herrmann – hammered dulcimer & guitar, and Joe Fallon – guitar and bass) has delighted audiences with traditional American string band music. Acoustic duo Dakota Karper (fiddle) and Benny Bleu Haravitch (banjo) present a fresh perspective with music grounded in Appalachian old-time and New York’s Finger Lakes banjo tradition.
