Submit your 4-minute bluegrass, old-time or Celtic video to the VIRTUAL Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention! Submission accepted May 1 – 31, 2024. Categories include guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, special instrument, vocal and young performer.
This competition is judged separately from the IN-PERSON Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention, which takes place on June 2 at the Carroll County Farm Museum.

Explore the practical skills and thought process necessary to begin Neck Mastery applicable to Acoustic Bluegrass, Classic-country, Old-time and Folk music.
Learn to play above the 5th fret, take solo-breaks, play backup, appreciate rhythm and syncopation, and improvise. This workshop will expand your knowledge and understanding of the fret-board, all without tablature. Jam etiquette and playing well with others will be included.
This workshop will be tailored to the specific needs of students and seasoned musicians who know some chords and can play songs without stopping or breaking time.
